Athens Eliminated From Postseason Contention With 12-4 Loss To Edison

ATHENS - Thomas A. Edison jumped ahead early, then blew the game open in the fourth inning on its way to a 12-4 win over Athens here Monday afternoon in non-league baseball action.

With the loss, Athens falls to 8-11 on the season, and is eliminated from postseason contention.

The Spartans scored four runs in the top of the first, and two more in the second to take a 6-0 lead.
