ATHENS — Athens took a big lead early, and used balance scoring to pull
away from Williamson in a 45-28 win here Thursday night in NTL junior
varsity boys basketball action.
Seven different junior Wildcats found the scoring column in a 16-4 blitz in the opening eight minutes.
The
second quarter was much the same as six different Athens players scored
two points apiece, and stretched their lead to 28-11 at the half.
Conner
Mosher led Athens with eight points, while Xavier Watson had seven
points, three rebounds, and Kolsen Keathley had six points, three
rebounds, and four steals.
Korey Miller scored five points and
dished out four assists in the win, while Jase Babcock added four
points, four steals, and one blocked shot, Nicholas Jacob and Matt
Aquilio chipped in with four points apiece, and Jack Cheresnowsky
grabbed a team-high five rebounds.
Athens returns to action Friday at Wyalusing.
