Athens Blanked By Elmira; Lezak Honored With Name On 'Coaches Wall Of Fame'

ATHENS - Elmira scored a pair of first-half goals on its way to a 2-0 win over Athens here Saturday morning in non-league boys soccer action at Alumni Stadium.

Spencer Wheeler gave the Express a 1-0 lead about eight minutes into the contest, then made it 2-0 with 10:22 remaining in the first half.

"Tough one today," said Athens coach Jake Lezak. "We need to continue to work harder and find ways to score."
