Athens' Hicks Leads Class 3A Field By 5 Strokes After Day 1; Saxon In Third

WILLIAMSPORT - Athens sophomore Eli Hicks earned low-medal honors in Rond 1 of the District 4, Class 3A boys golf championships here Thursday afternoon at the Williamsport Country Club, and leads the field by five strokes.
Hicks shot a 2-over par round of 73.
Athens senior Dylan Saxon is in third place after shooting an 80. Saxon closed day on a high note with birdies on the par-5 16th and par-5 18th holes.
