Athens Junior High Volleyball Team Secures Victories Over Sayre

On Monday night, the Athens 8th A team triumphed with a 2-set win, scoring 25-11 and 25-13, maintaining a strong service line performance at 88%. Key contributors included Madison Sinsabaugh (7 pts, 4 aces), Jonica Walters (6 pts, 2 aces), Kayla Forbes (5 pts, 2 aces), Eden Fedorchak (4 pts, 3 aces) and Hailey Smith (4 pts, 3 aces). The team's defensive efforts were bolstered by Kayla Forbes' passing, extending their record to 4-0.

Meanwhile, the 7th B (1-1) team earned their first season win, scoring 25-15 and 25-12, led by Auriana Welch (15 pts, 11 aces), Natalie Yale (6 pts, 2 aces), and Alayna Lackey (4 pts, 3 aces) with Hannah Behm's passing facilitating multiple offensive opportunities.

The 8th A (4-0) and 8th B (2-0) teams are set to face Williamson at home on Wednesday, September 11th.
