Burgess' Late Goal Lifts Athens To 1-0 Win Over NEB

ATHENS - Junior newcomer Abby Burgess scored the biggest goal of her young career here Thursday evening, lifting Athens to a 1-0 win over Northeast Bradford in NTL girls soccer action at Alumni Stadium.
After 78 minutes of scoreless action, junior Lizzie Gorsline chipped a pass over the back line of NEB’s defense, where Burgess beat the NEB keeper to the loose ball, and chipped it over her head for the eventual game-winner.
