Fast Start Carries Athens To 45-30 Win Over Williamson In Season-Opening Dual

ATHENS - Athens raced out to a 33-0 lead with three falls and three technical falls in the first six bouts on the way to a 45-30 win over Williamson in the first dual of the NTL wrestling season.

Sophomore Zaine Campbell started the Wildcats off quickly with a 23-5 technical fall over Karter Osgood.

Campbell scored four takedowns in the first period, with a four-point near-fall for a 16-4 lead after the first two minutes. He finished off the match with a reversal and five near-fall points early in the second period.
