BLOOMSBURG - Bloomsburg scored late in the game to break a tie and post a 3-2 win over Athens here Saturday in non-league girls soccer action.
"It's a disappointing outcome, but I could not fault the effort we put in for 80 minutes," said Athens coach Rich Pitts.
Trailing 1-0, Athens tied the game with 11:41 remaining in the first half on a hard shot past the keeper by junior Brinley Nichols, and the game went to the halftime intermission tied at 1-1.
