Athens Girls, Boys Both Win Quad Meet

ATHENS - Senior Sara Bronson and junior Abby Burgess were four-time winners to lead the Lady Wildcats to wins over Troy, Wyalusing, and Sayre, while the Athens boys used superior depth to pull out three wins here Tuesday in NTL track & field action at Alumni Stadium.
"We finally had a night with nice weather and the girls really showed all the hard work they have been putting in, we had PR's all over the place," said Athens coach Mike Bronson.
Bronson won the 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:20.02, while junior Ava Hughes was second in 6:12.87, and junior Karolin Rolle was fourth in 6:55.19.
Sophomore Graham Wanck, and juniors Ryan Cook and Alex Thompson were double-winners, and the Wildcats had a host of second- and third-place finishes to pull out wins over Troy, Wyalusing and Sayre.
