Athens Girls Earn Split In Tri-Meet; Wildcat Boys Drop A Pair

ATHENS - The Athens girls earned a split, topping Northeast Bradford, but falling to Sullivan County, while the Wildcat boys dropped a pair of decisions here Tuesday afternoon in the season-opening cross country tri-meet at Round Top Park.
Athens sophomore Alissa Vough posted the fastest time of the day, clocking in at 21:46, well ahead of Sullivan's Zoey Reese (22:25) and NEB's Sophie Bennett (23:09), who finished second and third, respectively.
Jacob Shores and Matt Rossettie each finished in the top five, but Athens dropped decisions to NEB and Sullivan County.
