Athens Tops Wyalusing, 45-36; Improves To 13-3 On Season

WYALUSING - After three quarters of back-and-forth basketball, Athens used a strong fourth quarter to pull out a 45-36 win over Wyalusing here Monday night in NTL junior varsity boys basketball action.
Kam Wheeler knocked down a 3-pointer and scored five points in the first quarter, and Lucas Schultz added a 3-pointer to help Athens to a 10-7 lead after the opening stanza.
Schultz canned another 3-pointer and scored five points in the second quarter, and Wheeler drained a 3-pointer, but the Rams had a 9-8 advantage to close the gap to 18-16 at the half.
