Athens Turns In Strong Performances At Ernie Shartle Invite

TUNKHANNOCK - Sophomore Brayden Pettitt and senior Ethan Hicks each had four top-three finishes, and sophomore Eli Hicks had four top-six finishes to lead the Athens boys here Saturday at the Ernie Shartle Invite, while junior Elizabeth Denlinger had four top-four finishes to pace the Lady Wildcats.
"Athens had a fantastic showing at the Ernie Shartle Invite," said Athens coach Mark Keister. "Every swimmer came away with at least one season-best time.
"We had strong competition in every event and our swimmers stepped up to the challenge," added Keister. "This will help us prepare for the remaining season and post-season competition."
