Errors Prove Costly As Athens Drops 8-4 Decision At Troy For First League Loss Of Season

EAST TROY - Athens could not overcome seven errors as Troy handed the Wildcats their first NTL loss of the season here Thursday in Large School Division baseball action.

With the loss, Athens, now 9-2 overall, falls to 6-1 in divisional play — one game ahead of Troy and North Penn-Mansfield, both 5-2.

The Wildcats banged out three base hits in the top of the first inning, but a pick-off at second base kept them out of a potential big inning.
