Gombocz Powers Athens In 2-0 Win Over Williamson

ATHENS - Freshman Chase Gombocz scored one goal and assisted on the other goal, and the Athens defense posted another shutout in a 2-0 win over Williamson here Wednesday night in NTL boys soccer action at Alumni Stadium.
The shutout was the ninth in 10 games for the Wildcats, who have allowed just two goals this season.
"We tried some new things all over the field and looked to connect in different ways and the players adapted well," said Athens coach Travis Reynard. "There were times of struggle and frustration, but we handled it and got back on track and got another crucial win and shut out."
