Hicks Leads Class 3A Field, Owen Makes Cut To Play In Day 2

MONTGOMERY - Athens junior Eli Hicks leads after Day 1 of the District 4, Class AAA boys golf championships, and sophomore Ty Owen also made the cut here at White Deer Golf Course.
Hicks shot a 2-over par round of 74 on the 5,917-yard, par 72 Vintage Course, while Owen was tied for fourth with a round of 82.
Jersey Shore's Carter Girton is one stroke off the lead after shooting a 75, and Selinsgrove's Mac Defazio is in third after shooting an 81.
