Mount Carmel Pulls Away In Fourth Quarter Of 70-47 Win Over Athens

ATHENS - Mount Carmel used a big fourth quarter to blow open a close game en route to a 70-47 win over Athens here Saturday afternoon in non-league boys basketball action.

Junior Talon Baglini scored four points and junior Nick Grazul knocked down a 3-pointer for the Wildcats, but Mount Carmel led 16-12 after the first quarter.

Senior Troy Rosenbloom canned a 3-pointer and scored five points in the second quarter, while sophomore Lucas Schultz and senior Jase Babcock each scored four points as Athens cut into its with an 18-17 advantage in the stanza to close the gap to 36-33 at the halftime break.
