WYALUSING - Sophomore Graham Wanck led the Athens boys to a fifth-place finish here Friday at a rainy Lasagna Track & Field Invite, while junior double-winner Abby Burgess and senior Sara Bronson helped the Lady Wildcats to a fourth-place finish.

SAYRE - Sophomore Brady Flynn tossed a complete game, and powered Athens at the plate in a 14-2 six-inning win over Sayre here Friday afternoon in NTL baseball action at Riverfront Park.

EAST TROY - Sophomore Gretchan Hiley pitched her fourth shutout of the season - a one-hit gem, and freshman Memphis Paul provided the offense to lead Athens to a 1-0 win over Troy here Thursday afternoon in NTL Large School softball action.

EAST TROY - Athens could not overcome seven errors as Troy handed the Wildcats their first NTL loss of the season here Thursday in Large School Division baseball action.

ROME - Sophomore Gretchan Hiley continued her dominance in the pitcher's circle in leading Athens to a 4-0 win over Northeast Bradford here Tuesday afternoon in NTL softball action.

SHIPPENSBURG - Athens junior Abby Burgess and senior Sara Bronson each placed in one event, and Bronson did so in record-breaking fashion here Saturday at the 98th annual Roddick Invitational at Shippensburg University.

ATHENS - Sophomore Connor Davidson and junior Nick Grazul each turned in strong pitching performances to lead Athens to wins over Towanda and Thomas A. Edison Saturday afternoon in baseball action.

MANSFIELD - It had been nearly three years since North Penn-Liberty lost a regular-season game, but unbeaten Athens ended NP-L's 50-game win streak here Friday afternoon with a 5-1 win in NTL Large School softball action.

WILLIAMSPORT - Athens rallied to take the lead in the top of the sixth inning, but Williamsport pulled out a 10-9 walk-off win with a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh here Thursday afternoon in non-league baseball action.

TIOGA CENTER - Sophomore Gretchan Hiley pitched four strong innings, and Athens took control of the game in the second inning on its way to a 13-0 five-inning non-league softball win over Tioga here Thursday afternoon.

ATHENS - Junior Abby Burgess won four events to lead the Lady Wildcats to a narrow win over Towanda, while the Athens boys had multiple double-winners to top the Black Knights here Tuesday afternoon in NTL track & field action at Alumni Stadium.
