Run Inning Carries Athens To 14-2 Win Over Williamson

TIOGA, Pa. - Athens erupted for seven second-inning runs to defeat Williamson, 14-2, in six innings in NTL baseball action here Thursday.

Following a leadoff error off the bat of Brady Flynn, the Wildcats' Kamdyn Wheeler and Connor Davidson drew back-to-back walks, and Duncan Thetga smacked a two-run single. Shea Davidson and Zeke Noble walked, scoring Alex McQuay, then Nick Grazul smacked a two-run double to plate Thetga and Davidson. Noble scored on a wild pitch and Grazul tallied on Brendan Cooke's sacrifice fly.

A hit batter, single and an error allowed the Wildcats to make it 9-0 in the third, and back-to-back singles in the fourth pushed the Athens advantage to 10-0.
