Athens Falls 7-2 At Hughesville

HUGHESVILLE - Hughesville took the lead early, then pulled away late in the game for a 7-2 win over Athens here Friday afternoon in non-league softball action.
The Spartans, now 12-4, scored runs in the second and third innings, and led 2-0 after four innings.
Hughesville scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, and two more in the sixth to extend its lead to 7-0.
