Athens Fends Off Late Rally In 4-3 Win Over NP-Mansfield

ATHENS - Athens build an early lead, then fended off a late rally in a 4-3 win over North Penn-Mansfield here Saturday afternoon in NTL Large School Division baseball action.

After four scoreless innings, juniors Brady Flynn and Duncan Thetga led off the fifth inning with back-to-back singles, and Flynn scored on a wild pitch to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead.

After a single by junior Kam Wheeler moved courtesy-runner freshman Easton Paul to third base, freshman Zeke Noble singled to make it 2-0.
