Athens Girls, Boys Each Pick Up One Win In Four-Team Home Meet

EAST SMITHFIELD - The Athens girls and boys picked up wins over Canton, but fell to Towanda and Troy here Tuesday afternoon in NTL cross country action on the S.R.U. school course.
The Wildcats junior high teams each notched three wins Tuesday.
The heat and humidity — temperatures in the high 80s and humidity around 85 percent — forced many runners to withdraw before completing the circuit.
