Rathbun Wins Title; Athens Places Second At Curwensville Tournament

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. - Senior Hannah Rathbun won her fourth tournament title of the season and remains unbeaten. She led eight Wildcats to the podium in a second-place team finish here Saturday at the rugged Curwensville Tournament.
Athens had four third-place finishers in senior Leah Nason, juniors Abby Wagner and Joyce Clink, and freshman Evelyn Cummings, while three Wildcats - freshman Skylynn Payne and Chelsey Renninger, and sophomore Alyssa Rinebold - placed fifth.
Hughesville won the team title with 171 points, while Athens tallied 150.5 points, Boiling Springs was third with 135.5 points, and Clearfield was fourth with 121.5 points.
Rathbun went 5-0 on the day, winning in the finals with a second-period fall - her first match of the season to make it past the first two minutes.
