Top-Seeded Central Columbia Rolls Over Athens, 64-20

BLOOMSBURG - Unbeaten Central Columbia proved its top seed here Thursday night in the quarterfinals of the District 4, Class 4A girls basketball playoffs with a 64-20 win over eighth-seeded Athens.

The Blue Jays raced out to a 28-2 first-quarter lead, then scored the first 16 points of the second quarter, and led 47-10 at the halftime intermission.

Playing its reserves liberally in the second half, Central Columbia outscored Athens, 17-10.
