Towanda Overcomes Athens' Fast Start In 48-37 Win

ATHENS - Athens jumped out to an early lead, but Towanda rallied for a 48-37 win here Thursday night in NTL Large School Division girls basketball action.
Junior McKenna Jarvis scored seven points in the first quarter, including a late 3-pointer, to help the Wildcats to a 13-7 lead after the opening stanza.
The Black Knights put the brakes on the Athens offense, however, and used a 12-4 run in the second quarter to take a 19-17 lead into the halftime locker room.
